Oh how Smashing!

As the starship Smash Bros slowly descends on to the land of Japan (as Europeans stare at a calendar marked TBA 2008), it’s a good time to get a roundup of the Smash Bros developments over the last week or so.
First up, the ever informative Iwata Asks (his former employees). Updated every weekday morning until the Japanese release, Sakurai and Iwata discuss all things Smash Bros, with new information and videos hidden within. Be warned, there’s some surprises: I mean, Game Arts are developing Brawl?!

Back over to the Dojo of Comical Subtitles, in the past week ‘Cherry-Don’ managed to beat the Virtual Console at its own game, there’s a video of a Tokyo vs Kyoto test battle of the cities that can’t be bothered to come up with original names, World 1-1 has fallen victim of time with a marvellous new version of the famous tune. There’s been a change of heart with Manaphy, and we finish the roundup with the first thing of the week, a Final Smash. Tongue-twisters, you’ve got to love them.

So, with the upcoming release in Japan be careful what you read in case there are some hidden characters you don’t want to know about, but until then, watch this on loop:
