Spotlight: Mario Kart Wii
Slipping under the radar entirely, it’s strange to think that a brand new edition in the illustrious Mario Kart series is out on Friday – perhaps we owe it to Nintendo Europe bringing the game out without a six month gap.
Mario Kart’s Wii edition has the usual selection of tracks (with the rigid 16 new/16 retro paradigm) a handful of racers and plenty of modes, but the real advancement comes in the form of Mario Kart Wii’s online integration. Up to 12 racers can compete in races and battles over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (oh joy). The game will also add a new channel to your Wii menu that lets you check regional and worldwide stats, friend rankings, download ghost data, participate in worldwide Time Trial events, and more.

I like Ikaruga. It, like, Geometry Wars, goes BOOM a lot.
Having a blast with my kids with this one!
