PS3 Gameshow, Buzz! Quiz TV will join Resistance, Uncharted and Warhawk as it will feature a custom space in Playstation Home.
From the designer of the space, Cumron Ashtiani revealed some screenshots and information for “Buzz: Road Show” on his personal blog.
Players will be able to stand on coloured lights (representing the Buzzer Controllers) to answer questions, allowing up to 64 people will be able to play at a time.
Ashtiani provided commentary on the creative process and working within the boundaries on Playstation Home.
The Avatars are part of the Home system and so not customisable for their surroundings. I think stylistically the characters for Home could have done with a bit more exaggeration and style. There were several technical limitations with the tools at that time in that we couldn’t have animated objects, no characters other than the Home avatars or lights and so movement could only be provided with shader based UV scrolling.
Playstation Home still escapes a permanent release date, but will likely combat Microsoft’s new Xbox 360 avatars and 8 member parties.
