Conduit suffers European delay
High Voltage Software’s The Conduit, a first person shooter on Wii, has been delayed for an unknown reason in Europe and Australia. Previously expected on June 26th, gamers will now have to wait until July 10th. BritishGaming played the game with SEGA a few months ago; the control customisation is extremely in-depth and the games feels great, but the story and presentation is a little “creatively bankrupt”.
PEGI becomes UK standard
Currently a mish-mash of PEGI (Pan European Game Information) and BBFC ratings, the Government has announced that all games will be rated solely by the former. The new rating logos will be colour coordinated and resemble a traffic light system (as proposed by psychologist Tanya Byron), and the content descriptor graphics will remain (for Bad Language, Discrimination, Drugs, Fear, Gambling, Sex, Violence and Online Gaming).
Ubisoft Boss: Next-Gen games will cost $60m
Ubisoft head honcho Yves Guillemot told CNBC that he predicts game budgets will raise to 60 million dollars in the next console generation. Right now, top tier Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 games cost between 20 and 30 million bucks to get made. He also discussed the new wave of motion control devices, and thankfully stood up for hardcore gamers who “don’t want to be tired after five minutes”. That’s because we’re all fat slobs.

PAIN coming to Blu-Ray
Playstation Network title PAIN will be coming to retail next week (26th), bundled with all the downloadable content its received over since launch (except David Hasselhoff, apparently). Purchasing everything right now on the PSN store would set you back £31, so the £19.99 price tag is reasonable (ignoring the fact that the game sucks).
